Elementary grades are meaningless. The point is to tell parents how a kid is
Doing and to help kids learn responsibility by turning stuff in. If those things don't matter to you right now that is fine. Focus on the most important education stuff if you start cutting back: literacy first, numeracy second, then other stuff.
Spend time teaching your kids to bake, sew, build stuff with you, do art, etc. That's great learning.
