I don't know much more than where I live. Haven't been here for long enough yet, but the DFW area is good.
We are the west end of Dallas and directly north of Fort Worth. Still has the country feel but some nice conveniences. Austin is nice, San Antonio is nice too but I would never choose to live in Houston.

Texas, generally has had a fabulous economy even during the Great Recession, no income tax, and well because...Merica!
