I can't imagine TX's economy will be great given what happened to oil.
That sector is going to take quite some time to recover, IMO. Probably the Bay Area will recover faster, given that it's dependant on tech and domestic tourism. No place is going to be in good shape, though.

Texas, generally has had a fabulous economy even during the Great Recession, no income tax, and well because...Merica!
