I saw somewhere that you can apply to both, but that the money would have to be used for different purposes, in other words the EIDL loan could not be used for payroll, rent/mortgate, utilities.

Correct. I don't believe you can use both the EIDL and the PPP. Just one or the other from what we've been told.

Basically if you are paying wages to employees you will get it forgiven.
