Starting to cherry pick.
One could say a league with 30 teams is watered down compared to a league with 10 teams.
Too many variables to try and pluck a single factor out and use as a disqualifier. And as noted previously you can’t blame players for the game they were asked to play in.
I think “greatest players” debates get marred by trying to plug all players into a single false construct. By doing so we lose the context in which they were deemed eligible for the debate in the first place.
Like when people say secretariat was the greatest athlete ever. It doesn’t make sense.
