I remember thinking something similar about Wilt when watching some of his highlights. It seemed the talent level of his competition must be bad because he was completely manhandling everyone. But then I realized that one of the guys he was playing against was a young Kareem. That's when I started to think that Chamberlain belongs somewhere in the top 3. In his highlights it looks like he's playing against high school kids, but he was really playing against some amazing, talented, and skilled players. Maybe not as talented as many of today's players but not as far off as his highlights make it look.
