They’re skilled in different ways today
Even still, a guy like Joel Embiid is bigger than almost all those guys, he can play in the post and defends the rim.
Nikola Jokic is very skilled. He can post up and step out and hit a 3.
And what are they going to do when they play KAT...just let him shoot wide open 3’s over and over? He’s one of the most efficient scorers of all time.
What happens when the Bucks play Giannis at the 5? Is Patrick Ewing going to try and guard him on the perimeter?
Those types of big guys have been played off the court. That’s why they don’t exist. They can’t keep up, their offense is inefficient today.
