was just pointing out that Memorial Day and Veterans Day are both patriotic days.
I just don't think it takes away from them if we remember our deceased loved ones.
There are many families out there who do not have a deceased military loved one. It would be both appropriate for them to celebrate those who died in general and to identify ancestors or family members that sacrificed for them.
I think it would be appropriate in my family to celebrate two or three pioneer ancestors who died on their way to Zion. Their sacrifice for me was great.
