Our ice maker is a scoop. But our kids are older and have good hygiene. It’s a Scotsman Pellet Ice Maker
That stores 26lbs and can make up to 80lbs a day. When we have parties, we pull the ice out into a separate bowl and we refill it rather than others putting their hands into the ice maker.
It cost around $3500, but it was my wife’s and my only Christmas gift a couple of Years ago. I hesitated because of the price, but it has gotten a lot of use.
