We had it spray foam insulated with our new build, but didn't get the garage AC to try and save cost. The garage holds the hot air quite well, unfortunately. I would like to avoid getting a unit installed after the fact just for the garage, but we can't let it stay as hot as it is (we do use it to park our 2 cars and have a freezer in it). I've read a bit about a ductless mini-split and a swamp cooler. Any idea of effectiveness or cost? We might just have our AC guy come by and give an estimate, but I'd like to keep cost down. Any help is appreciated.
