Not in AZ (im in Utah).. but i use a Mini Split for my garage..

I have a big garage that includes a woodshop/workshop in the back. When we moved offices I 'borrowed' the Samsung Mini-Split from our server room. It actually does a great job cooling down the garage.

I don't leave it on all the time... but on hot days when I want to tinker in the garage, I'll just turn it on and use a few box fans to get the air moving. It cools down nice and fast.
