Its simple X's and O's and game planning and getting the players ready for that particular game. Talent wasn't the issue with losses to USF, Toledo, etc because of talent. The players were coached-up well for games against USC and Tennessee but not against UW or Utah or SDSU. X's and O's seem like an afterthought for Kalani and his staff. You listen to his pressers and after game interviews and he talks about effort and wanting it more. Great. How about we have a set of plays that work well against USC but dont work as well against Utah? Break down the weaknesses of each team and exploit those. UW made him and the coaches look like fools. That was embarrassing. And his only come back is we didnt give enough effort and didnt want it as much as them.

The only thing that is going to change my mind is Kalani winning. He goes 9-3 this season while beating Utah, I will gladly eat crow. But if things go the way I think they are going to go we will be 6-6, make a crappy bowl, and have lost to Utah 10 times in a row. Thats what staring us in the face with Kalani as head-coach.
