currently have a yakima skybox that i put on the top of a minivan and it has served us quite well on trips that involve camping and adventure. Space in our minivan has often been an issue when we are packing away coolers and food and life jackets and paddles and luggage and supplies. It sounds like i'm in for a rude awakening when it comes to price, storage and gas mileage...which are all huge factors!! I think in need my next vehicle to be able to tow well to leave my options open for some later adventures. So i'm worried i'm going to pay too much for that privilege for the amount that i am actually going to use them.
