Fesi has been doing great. What exactly would you call last year? You don't think he developed Simon and Shumway who many thought were a lost cause? I don't even think Simon was used as much as he could have been last year. Milne was a walk on. He's also got more of his own recruits playing now. Remember that you can't develop guys beyond their ceiling.
I'd say so far he's maxed out limited ceilings.
