I decided around April 1 that I needed to make some changes to reduce my personal risk of bad outcomes if I were to contract the virus. As a result I've seen real improvement in my hypertension and have been able to eliminate one of my medications, I expect to see a real benefit to my metabolic situation (I was "pre-diabetic" when looking at my HbA1c) and I'm nearly to the point where I will move into a less risky BMI category. I'm exercising nearly every day and really feeling great. I have more time in the mornings now and I'm enjoying my exercise time.
I suppose it says something about me that it took a global pandemic to get me to do this. But whatever it takes — at least I'm on my way now!
