took turns living with my wife’s grandparents when they could no longer care for themselves. My in-laws retired, so they could alternate living with them full time until both passed. It was a lot of work, but they were grateful to be able to serve and care for their parents while they exited this life. Key was having some nurse help come by and finding a doctor that specializes in geriatrics. Their doctor was great. Basically didn’t have any restrictions since they were both in 90s. The Dr.’s attitude was let them have another can of Diet Pepsi is they want one. They should get to enjoy their last years. It was tough on the daughters when it was their turn, but neither one would trade that experience.
It was also a great example to me of how you care for your parents.
