I think he has a point....for this unique season. We would rather play in the NY6 bowl than not.
In what other scenario will BYU ever again be sitting in the top-10 (NY6 at large bid territory) and have so much control over their late-season schedule? If we are clearly in the CFP top-10 by mid-November, there is a strong argument to just leave the schedule as is and coast into the NY6 bowl with a solid win over an SDSU team - that could also be undefeated and ranked...and looking forward to the MWC championship game the following week.
