B1G teams don't get any bump from beating Rutgers (unless it's a blowout)
What they do get credit for is a B1G schedule, and that means a head-to-head with some combination of tOSU, Penn St, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and whichever combination of Michigan St, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Northwestern is having a good season.
Filler games over Illinois and Rutgers are meaningless. That's usually also the case with Maryland and Indiana (although the Hoosiers are potentially the #2 B1G team this year).
