I've always thought the 1996 team was the best BYU has ever had.

A prominent player on the 1996 team is a friend of mine. Paraphrasing, he has said that that team was 1 or 2 players

IMO, there’s a case for that. There’s also a case that the ‘84 team was better.

Yep! In fairness the '82-'85 rosters sent 27 players to the NFL, CFL and USFL.

They beat UW that year and they might just win the NC. I mean, after BYU lost to UW, it took them 7 weeks to get back up
