The problem is that you think ROTJ is great because of your nostalgia for the film. Plenty of Star Wars content post

ROTJ has been just as good at that movie, but you were old and jaded when you watched it rather than young and impressionable.

Objectively, ROTJ is okay, but since it is Star Wars some people (including myself) love it. It you give the post ROTJ stuff the same breaks you give ROTJ then it's great.

I personally give Star Wars stuff more leeway than I give any other IP. And it isn't even close to be honest.
