I'm a Ute that's pulling for the Cougars. SOS is definitely a negative, but the idea behind the College Football Playoff is to ultimately see who's the best. It's no longer simply voted on and handed to a team. If the Cougars win today, I say they get a shot.
BTW, I drove to Phoenix for the Fiesta Bowl in 2004. Our crew of 12 had 8 BYU Grads!
