SOS is a weakness for BYU and a #4 ranking is sadly not in the cards this season. BYU is a #8-#10 team during a very strange season where 3 of the top 7 conferences will play only half a season. Which means your season resume does not need to be as good.

But in response to the Utah 2019 season without a single victory over a ranked team. I think most cougars felt that the Utes season with 1 loss was only good enough for a #5 or #6 season if they had won the Pac-12 conference during a much more normal season, where the other P5 champions and Georgia looked to be more deserving.

2020 is just a different year, BYU's 2020 season has a weaker SOS than Utah, My biased view has a undefeated BYU team still ranked below Utah's 2019 1 loss team, at the #8-#10 range and more deserving than Iowa State, Indiana and Oklahoma. If they beat CCU, I think they are more deserving than Miami, and Georgia as well.
