Friends don't get you into college.. Clubs, Sports, and grades.
All of my daughter's friends that 'enjoyed' high school are now 'enjoying' themselves at Dixie & UVU.
My daughter got into every school she applied for by being president of her school's HOSA club, VP of the FCCLA club, being on the swim/water polo teams, and taking college classes.
She didn't have time to enjoy anything about High School 🙂
My advice is to find what colleges your kids want to attend early... and then realize how hard it is to get accepted.

Encourage your daughter to enjoy HS. Push her to be very social and to make lots of friends and to try new things.
