I'm also not bashing those schools..
My youngest son turned down BYU and is going to Dixie. It's a better fit for him and his goals (I still think those goals revolve around girls.. but we'll see after his mission).

But he worked hard enough in school to earn a full scholarship to Dixie.

My 3 kids have all graduated HS in the past 5 years.. We've watched a large group of kids (friends, teammates, neighbors) 'grow up' over the past few years. The ones that are successful in college are the ones that took HS seriously.

* There is also nothing wrong with not going to college. But if a kid wants to get into the medical field they will have an uphill battle if they don't learn how to study in HS (take high school seriously).
