The system we've set up means the employer and employee are adverse parties in
some respects.
No employer is going to jump at the chance to hire someone 20 weeks pregnant. Even though that can't be the reason for not giving her an offer (legally speaking), it is not logical for the company to hire your wife. So you either need to not disclose it (don't lie of course) or take a temp job.
