Final poll rankings have a ton to do with measuring teams and most importantly
consistency. What it shows is that as good as Utah has been recently, they haven't come close to having the consistency that BYU has had in its past even with BYU struggling mightily over the past several years and not getting any top 25 finishes. It also shows that BYU doesn't need to do much to get back on equal footing with Utah. They already have history on their side.
Not sure what your point is with Yale. BYU has more AP top 25 finishes than Yale.
