Your point is about passing a historically strong program. BYU has passed Yale but the data you're using likely wouldn't

show that if it had points going to the beginning of CFB history. I'd argue Utah has passed BYU, but it is admittedly arguable, despite the data you showed. If you showed your data in a trend line or a count by year it would tell a different story than absolute values.
