Hey - I agree with you. I like the taste of the real stuff too, and can definitely tell the difference between the beef bought at the grocery store versus the stuff I get when I buy a steer direct from a rancher and have it cut up.
But you're changing the hypothetical in order to answer. If there honestly and truly was no difference in taste, texture, etc., then there would be no difference for you to tell the difference between.
I get it - you can't wrap your brain around the concept and imagine a world in which the fake stuff tastes just like the real stuff. I have a hard time imagining that too. But - the hypothetical question your answering is - what if you couldn't tell the difference?
And it's OK if the only answer is that you'd prefer to eat something natural over something processed - even if you don't experience anything different in eating it.
