The entire point of money as a form of value is that the quantity, and access to it, is limited. At any given moment there is a specific amount of money available on the market. If you have some, that means it takes away my possibility to have it.

If cash was not finite, and we all had as much as we wanted in any given moment in time, then we could all buy anything that we wanted.
