Grew up in California too. Diehard USC fan.
I actually didn't "like" BYU growing up. I hated the idea that just because I was LDS I was supposed to like BYU. If I had to choose back then, I'd choose Utah. Moved to Utah after my mission and went to a BYU game. The rest is history. I don't hate Utah like those that grew up here do. I do dislike a LARGE portion of their fanbase. But I do hate UCLA and everything about them.
