I rooted for uu until about 2010. Their fanbase became so over the top anti-BYU
that I decided just to forget about them. I don't actively root against them, but just ignore their sports. It is so much better not letting them have any place in my head. I have several friend that are BYU fans.
My brother (who is also a huge BYU fan) used to go to uu games. One day he had enough (after a TCU game). He said that many fans were so crappy to an elderly TCU couple that he just couldn't do it any more. He actively roots against them. He also flies out to a BYU games (Notre Dame, WI, LSU,...). He was accepted to BYU, but never attended school there.
*Yes, I started ignoring them before the streak. The blowout loss and fan reaction to it didn't endear me to them.
