It's a lot easier to support the flagship team from your home state when you're an expat - especially when you don't get any of the anti-Mormon undertones.

I had a number of high school teammates and friends go play for Utah. Kyle Wittingham is a good man, and many of the players that went to Utah were and are good people. When looking at the national landscape, BYU has more in common with Utah (and Utah State) than any other programs, and it makes me sad when the nasty behavior of some fringe fans drives people to focus on the (minor) differences instead of the large number of strong similarities.
