Connects how? On what level?

Does he connect because he agrees with their views on women and sex? Does he connect because they express anger or frustration about things he is angry and frustrated about?

I wouldn't let him off the hook that easy, it what I'm saying. OK - he connects with them and identifies with them. What is it about them that he identifies/connects with?
