They played two games over the span of 20+ days. They got screwed going into the WCC tourney and then got screwed again by getting placed against the best 11 seed ever and having to wait 10+ days between Gonzaga and UCLA. We looked like a team that hadn’t played in 10+ days. I really really REALLY hate how early we play our conference tourney.

Sure, had we been a higher seed we probably could’ve played like we did and pulled out a win against worse competition (like Gonzaga did against Norfolk) but that would’ve gotten our legs under us and the pace of the game would’ve been restored (just like what happened playing Pepperdine before facing Gonzaga, the difference was night and day).

Ultimately BYU has to own that loss but I feel like the WCC is pushing dimes before dollars by wanting the tourney broadcasted on ESPN instead of ESPNU or something else during the rest of the country’s conference tourneys.
