Health problems, not much good for jogging or playing frisbee, drool more, and the little ones could be carried off by another animal. Not to mention the price.

That said, some of them are terrific pets and they might make more sense of you have little space — though if you don't have much space you just shouldn't get a dog.

Always a roll of the dice, though I think most dogs, with decent training, will make a good family pet. But know what you're looking for from it.
