Did you feel this way during the Iraq war “support our troops” wave?
For a great many Americans that was a politicization of sports as well.
I just wonder if it’s the politicizing you oppose or just the fact that you disagree with the message this time around.
Personally I’m fine with both. It doesn’t affect the product on the field/court/pitch so I still enjoy it.
I’ve lost interest in the NBA and NFL because the product has become largely boring and meaningless until the playoffs.
