He didn't use his educational background to support his argument, as you did. He gave his opinion as a business owner
...in Utah who has interviewed/hired many graduates from the local schools. Given the specifics of his background, he's pretty qualified to talk about the relative quality of CS students in particular. He may have a bias--as we all do--but it's in his personal and business best interest to look past that bias and hire the best.
