How would Steve's best BYU win honestly have compared to Zach's win over USC?
Zach's arm & his ability to keep the Trojans honest w his feet — were among the biggest reasons we were even in that game.
He was arguably the best player on the field. His run up the gut of their D for that TD — yes, it caught them off guard, but there's no way a Beck or Max (as good as they were) turn a play like that into a TD. Or even come close. Outside of Young & Taysom --& maybe Riley-- no other BYU QB makes a play like that against a USC defense.
