Sure. But are we talking team performance or QB performance? When we lost with Hall in those games it was often BECAUSE
of Hall. Utah ‘08. TCU. I actually lay less of the lane for FSU at his feet than most.
When we beat Utah in ‘07, ’09 it was really in spite of Hall.
But, won or lost, his individual performance went to crap in his biggest games as often as not. That’s why I don’t choose him for the biggest football game in the history of Earth (per OP)
We’re assuming this is a “really athletic team” we’re playing, right?
You want the guy who had his very best games against the best defenses on his schedule. Max usually didn’t.
Like ‘06 John Beck with two sprained ankles against that TCU defense.
