Senior John Beck is the easy answer, IMO.
He showed that he could carve up good defenses against Utah, TCU, Wyoming (top 10 pass defense in '06 that he lit up for 50 points!)
John Beck at the end of 2006 is still the most reliable QB we've had since 2001, I think. 2020 Zach Wilson would be close to that, though, for sure.
