This really isn’t my argument. I don’t have a problem with hunting or eating
meat. Isn’t a hunt suppose to be matching your wits against an animal? It’s recreation right? This isn’t you hunting to survive.
There is a line of fair and unfair hunts. Surely you agree with this. You wouldn’t stop and shoot a moose on the side of the road for recreation.
Hunting with a pack of dogs crosses the fair line FOR ME. If you want to do it, go for it. It’s legal, and serves a purpose for conservation apparently. You should be glad, people like me means there will be less completion for dog hunts.

In nature death is never pretty. It could easily be argued these bears had a more humane death than their cohorts
