Hi. I’m frustratingly naive with my sprinklers. I’d appreciate some help with 2 things. First, I am disconnecting the sprinklers from a flower bed. There is a barber connector fitted into the pvc. I can’t seem to remove the connector so that I can plug it. Is there a plug that fits onto the connector or do I need to cut off the pvc and reconnect without the T piece?

Second, I have one box with two valves. The timer doesn’t trigger either valve anymore, so somewhere there is an air gap in the electric. Is there a way to track that down without digging up the whole yard?
