There were clearly 2 problems. Rudy is awful at closing out to shooters after his initial help. Like extremely bad instincts and foot speed to get back out to a shooter after closing off a drive.
The jazz have some of the worst perimeter defenders I've ever seen. Joe Ingles is washed on defense, Mitchell and Conley offered no resistance and Royce was terrible...not to mention Clarkson/bogey
It would have been easier on the perimeter defenders if they were in a switching defense but they have really bad habits on defense to try to funnel their man to Gobert. That doesn't work in 5 out defenses and clearly Gobert is too slow to get out on shooters after help. So slow and no anticipation whatsoever.
2 big problems led to wide open shots.
