Mindfulness meditation may be of help.
A large part of mindfulness is to gradually teach one's self how to sit with discomfort/pain/anxiety/fear etc. and observe it with benevolent curiosity. By giving that discomfort/pain/anxiety/fear the space needed to tell you what it is trying to tell you, it eventually loses its strength. You've acknowledged it and now it can move on.

The Calm app is a pretty good place to start.

Good luck.
