Nope, that's more like exposure therapy. Headspace (another good app) explains
it like you're sitting on the side of the road watching cars go by. It helps reframe the thoughts you have and allows you to acknowledge them and let them continue on their way. In the roadside metaphor, you don't hop on a truck and stay there for days, nor do you block out everything but red cars. You allow them to enter your "mindspace" for the certain amount of time they are in "view"
