I think BYU will never be in a P5 conference because of the LDS's church stance

on certain social issues. BYU would have been in a P5 conference years ago otherwise. BYU has the attendance in football, b-ball, all sports, always in top rankings of Directors cup, it's own TV station, national following, etc. etc, BYU is more "P5" than 2/3 of the P5 teams out there.

But there will be backlash to any P5 conference that adds BYU, and no conference want to go down that road.

I also think sometime in the future there will be groups urging employers to boycott BYU graduates. It's just a matter of time.

GO COUGS! for as long as you can!! I for one, will never jump off your ship!!!
