We always talk about it, but we don't actually deliver.
BYU gets fewer viewers per year than UCF. Or Cincinnati. Or Memphis.
And that's despite playing higher profile teams than those do. Even Army and Navy deliver more viewers than BYU does (though for those two, that's mostly a result of yearly Notre Dame and Army/Navy games drawing huge viewership).
We can make excuses about smaller population and western time zones, but until we as fans step up, those same factors are going to hurt our chances at getting a P5 invite, as compared to competition which has shown a more engaged fan base (in the sense of actually watching the games).
I know I'm preaching to the choir here since the folks on this board are also the ones watching the game, but we all know there's a lot of "BYU fans" in every ward that like the school, some are even alumni, but they never bother to sit down and turn on and watch a game.
