I’m not sure PAC 12 helps in recruiting, though.

I’m pretty sure part of the reason to go to the SEC is that A&M has a recruiting advantage by offering the opportunity to play in the ‘best’ conference. Not to mention potentially higher endorsement opportunities.

I agree the pac 12 is a better institutional fit, but it may be a lateral move at best in football/recruiting compared to the big xii.
