Stanford grads that stay in the Bay Area are likely a plurality, but not a majority. A lot of them are going to Austin, Dallas, Chicago, LA, NYC, Washington DC, Atlanta, Seattle, and other major cities. Obviously, none of these are low cost of living locations, but most are certainly more affordable than the Bay Area.
