Yep, 6 conference champs of which the MW will unlikely ever be…
BSU has a good shot, I’d say they are possibly even with the AAC because of history but if the AAC has a one loss team and the MW has an undefeated team not BSU… my money says the AAC is in.
Then we have 6 other slots after to top 6 conference champs are in, 3-5 of those will go to remaining SEC teams leaving 1-3 open positions… no MW team will ever take any of those slots and it is also unlikely for any AAC team to take it…. Those will go P5 conference champion runner ups…
The best most realistic way in is championship of AAC or B12, after that an Independent BYU with an undefeated season perhaps 1 loss could sneak in one of those last 2-3 slots if the P5 runnner ups have 2 losses or something …
MW (nonBSU) has zero shot, probably ever…
